Do the rooms have bathrooms? Are there any towels?
Some rooms of the Tatamka Hostel have private bathrooms, but we also have cheaper rooms with common bathrooms in the corridor for multiple rooms. You will find free towels in all private rooms in standard, whereas guests renting bigger rooms or single beds can rent towels from the reception desk.
Does the hostel offer parking space?
We have 1 parking space in an underground garage, which is a 3-minute walk away from the Tatamka Hostel and costs PLN 20 per day. As this is a very limited offer, we recommend that you reserve it in advance. The neighbourhood is a paid parking zone for approx. PLN 3.5 per hour. The zone is in effect Mondays to Fridays between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Is the reception desk open 24/7? Can I check in past midnight?
Yes, the reception desk is open 24/7 and you can check in past midnight without a problem.
At what time can I check in?
Our check in starts at 2:00 pm, but you may get the keys earlier, depending on if the room is ready for guests. All guests can take advantage of the baggage storage room and common room as they wait to be checked in.
Does the hostel offer anything to eat?
The dining room has a vending machine with snacks and cold beverages. You can get free coffee and tea from the kitchen.
Can I bring my dog/cat?
The hostel has a no animal policy.
Are the shared rooms coeducational?
Yes, all of our shared rooms are coeducational.
Are the apartments located inside the same building as the hostel?
The apartments are a 3-minute walk away from the Tatamka Hostel. You will receive all details concerning their location when you check in at the reception desk.
Can I get a VAT invoice?
Yes, you can. If you would like one, please present your tax identification number (NIP) when you are checking in or e-mail it to us.
What services or conveniences does the hostel offer free of charge?
All guests of the Tatamka Hostel can enjoy free-of-charge Wi-Fi onsite, the open kitchen with free coffee and tea, the common room with computer stations and TV, the garden and grill, the baggage storage room, and the washer and dryer (only the washing capsule is subject to an extra charge). Our guests also receive a complimentary map of Warsaw, earplugs, disposable cosmetics (shower gel, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, and toothpaste), towels, a hairdryer, iron, and ironing board, all of which are available at the reception desk.
How do I get to the National Stadium?
The National Stadium is located only 1.8 km away from the Tatamka Hostel, which is about a 15-minute walk. You can also get there by bus (line 102 from the Topiel stop to the Rondo Waszyngtona stop) or by subway (line M2 from Centrum Nauki Kopernik stop to Stadion Narodowy stop).
How do I get to Old Town?
The Old Town is located only 1.7 km away from the Tatamka Hostel, which is about a 15-minute walk. If you choose to take public transit, you must walk to the Ordynacka stop, board bus 116, 180, 222, 518, or 503, and get off at the Plac Zamkowy stop, but please keep in mind that this route is closed to car and bus traffic between April and October.
How do I get from the hostel to the Warsaw Rising Museum and the National Museum?
The easiest way to get to the Warsaw Rising Museum is to take bus 102 or 105. You need to board one of them at the Topiel stop and get off at the Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego stop. The National Museum is located about a 15-minute walk from the hostel.
